Appalachian Baby 250 yds Organic Cotton Sport Weight
This certified organic cotton comes from Texas cotton farms. It is a 4-ply sport weight. This yarn is custom spun in a twist that makes the cotton exceptionally soft. It is a perfect baby knit yarn because there are no chemical dyes and it machine washes and dries beautifully. An earth-friendly, low impact dye process is used to make a classic baby colors for blankets and baby garments such as hats, sweaters, and bootees. Some Appalachian Baby patterns recommend a larger needle to keep the knit stitches loose and then tightened when washed and dried.
The yarn "cake" is 250 yards of our natural, undyed sport weight yarn.
This is the yardage ball in our blanket kits (we pack four 250 yard balls in those kits) and makes it easy to do another blanket without having to buy the kit again.
