You will be learning:
- Reading brioche patterns and getting familiar with brioche abbreviations and terminology.
How to execute basic brioche stitches - Sl1yo, brk, brp.
Reading your brioche knitting - To understand the anatomy of brioche fabric and stitches, counting
stitches and rows, knowing your place in the project.
Fixing the most common brioche mistakes will be demonstrated - Same row tinking, dropped yarnovers
in previous rows.

CLASS PREWORK
We will be knitting the Brin Cowl during the class. Cast on and work the 2 set-up rounds as given in the pattern and bring it to the class.
Materials: Materials are purchased separately for classes & KAL's. We appreciate you purchasing yarn from Fillory. It supports the shop & small businesses.
Yarn: Bulky weight yarn in 2 colors, approx 100 yards each. Try Berecco Emberstone Yarn.
TIP FOR CHOOSING COLORS: Strong contrast between the 2 colors is encouraged so you can easily read and understand your stitches.
To make sure there is enough contrast, take a picture of your skeins and convert it to grayscale. Your MC
(main color) should appear much lighter than your CC (contrast color) in the picture. In the sample
shown, white color is used as MC while the variegated brown is used as CC.
Needles: US 8 / 5 mm circular needles, 24" / 60 cm minimum length for working in the round.
Other Notions: Stitch marker and tapestry needle.
Pattern: Please purchase your copy of the Brin Cowl on Ravelry.
