Two-color brioche is one of those techniques that looks like a mystery…until you learn how it’s done. Then, like so many knitting techniques, it’s actually pretty easy, fun, and impressive! One of my favorite parts of two-color brioche is choosing colors. Strong color contrasts look boldly dramatic. More subtle contrasts can look shadowy, mysterious. Any combination you like will look amazing in two-color brioche, as long as there’s some contrast.
In this two-week class students will learn the Two-Color Tubular Cast-on and basic two-color brioche in the first class. In the second class students will learn a couple of two-color brioche decreases so they can finish the tops of their hats. If you fall in love with two-color brioche (we hope!), these techniques will open the doors to future brioche adventures!

Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable with the Knit stitch, Purl, yarnovers, & k2tog.

Yarn: Worsted weight in two colors. Chris made the sample with Cascade Wave and Juniper Moon Cotton + Merino.
Needles: US 5 - 3.75 mm in 16" Circular needle, US 6 - 4.0 mm in 16" Circular and Double Pointed Needles.
