Like all Appalachian Baby Design baby garment kits, this Aran Baby Cardigan Kit contains the yarn needed for the project, the pattern and any notions like buttons or tassels for the project you are making.
This design incorporates the traditional cable stitches of the Aran Isles, including fishbone and moss stitch.
The kit comes with 776 yards of U.S. organic cotton or the new washable Shaniko wool. Included in the kit is a yard of 7/8" natural grosgrain for lining the button band (optional). The cotton kit can make a 6 month, 12 month, 18 month, or 24 month sweater. The pattern is written for an experienced knitter. Suggested needle size is US 4 or 5 (3.5 - 3.75 mm).
